In addition to FameLab Italy, Pawel also competed in SumoScience Italy, a national competition that puts two researchers head-to-head in front of a high school student audience in which the researchers describe the research field, research objectives, activities and challenges that they face in their career in a Q&A presentation style. With the use of our 3d printed models, Pawel explained various concepts of turbomachinery and turbulence and after 2 rounds of qualifiers he was invited to in-person semi-finals that will take place in September in Perugia.
